Microbiological research
The indoor environment of the labour ambiance is very susceptible to contamination. The use of for example heating and/or air-conditioning results in a perfect environment for bacteria to flourish in. This can cause complaints and disease to people working within this environment.
The micro-organisms can grow on many breeding grounds. Examples of which are ceiling tiles, filters, channels, carpets/tapestry and furnishings. Objects with clefts or other uneven surfaces, such as keyboards, are a hotbed for dirt.
Such pollutions are as a rule hardly visible, which does not mean they are less of a health risk.
BioLab can list those spots that could potentially pose a threat as a breading ground for microbiological contamination in a building. Subsequently air samples are taken using validated measuring instruments which are then examined in the external accredited laboratory. As a standard procedure the temperature and the humidity are measured during this research.
Symptoms and signs of illness that could occur are: • Fatigue • Oppression • Mucous membranes irritancy in the throat, nose and eyes • Asthma-like symptoms. |
